While the song saw an early leak late last month, we have now been graced with an official single thanks to iHeart Radio premiere. Can’t Feel My Face will follow up The Weeknd’s latest hit “The Hills.” “The Hills,” along with is ominous music video, was released on May 27 and is presumably the lead track from The Weeknd’s forthcoming new studio album, due later this year. According to Nielsen Music, the song earned 5.2 million domestic streams in the week ending May 31, while also selling 109,000 downloads. As part of its iHeartRadio “World Premiere” launch, “Can’t Feel My Face” will receive promotional airplay support from numerous iHeartMedia stations.

If you’re not already hooked on the sensual discography of The Weeknd, then we suggest you buckle up because it’s about to be a bumpy ride.
But putting his seatbelt on is exactly what the 25-year-old R&B sensation seemingly failed to do in his newest music video for “The Hills,” a dark and moody track that is musical perfection to die hard Weeknd fans. In the video, frontman Abel Tesfaye emerges relatively unscathed from a fiery car crash and proceeds to stumble down a dimly lit suburban street. The singer then enters an abandoned mansion straight out of our American Horror Story nightmares before he climbs a spiral staircase to discover an even creepier sight.
Bathed in red light lie three women, two of them in nothing more than scandalous lingerie. Tesfaye appears utterly confused, but in true Weeknd fashion, we know this is just the prelude to more upcoming musical releases.

Alternative R&B revolutionary The Weeknd remains one of the most enigmatic artists of the 21st century. The Grammy Award-nominated, platinum-selling trendsetter first rose to prominence with his three independent online releases in 2011— House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. Upon release, media tastemakers ranging from Complex, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Spin to MTV, BET, XXL, and The Source immediately became supporters. Under a creative alliance between the artist’s visionary collective XO and Republic Records, 2012’s Trilogy reached platinum status in the US & Canada and debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200. Only a year later, Kiss Land would go on to reach #2 on the Top 200, #1 on iTunes and be named #5 on Entertainment Weekly’s “Best Albums of 2013” list. In 2015, he’ll unveil his next musical statement and the revolution will continue…
First off, sorry for the late update from Abel’s performance at Coachella Festival. Turns out luck was on my side and I ended up going both weekends and was able to catch Abel twice this month. With that being said, I had a couple friends with me who have never heard Abel’s music or have only heard “Earned It.” I told them we must go, for the soul reason that it was impeccable that I missed Abel and I must show them how great of an act he is. We rushed to the Main Stage at Coachella and made our way to the front (as there are no seats) I wanted railing so I could be way front however, we made it to a decent enough spot to where we could still see Abel on the stage (much better than when I went to Hollywood Bowl.) The Anticipation killing me, Abel was set to perform at 11:45 and while only a few minutes late on stage it felt like an eternity. I re-informed my friends that it’s worth the wait and before we knew it I hear “High For This” hit the stage and lights go on. Instantly myself and everyone in the crowd starting screaming in excitement and a silhouette Abel starts to make his way to the front of the stage. The Weeknd (both weekends) played an array of his top hits that ranged from songs off Triology; House Of Ballons/Glass Table Girls, High For This, The Birds Pt. 1. Also, performing; Drunk In Love, Remember You, Or Nah, Love Me Harder. Abel performed every song solo the first weekend; however, to much of everyone’s surprise second weekend had a little surprise for Coachella. I was a little further this time but still could see the stage well; half way through The Weeknd’s performance a Kanye West song plays on stage; everyone looked over in anticipation as for a few minutes there was no Kanye. Then, out comes Kanye to special guest perform with The Weeknd! The crowd went crazy. Abel did not disappoint either weekends and put on phenomenal shows for both crowds this Coachella. This was such a memorable performance for me, it being in my hometown and just getting to see how far Abel has come. Thank you Abel!
